Coronary Artery Calcium Scans

My MDVIP physician, James S. Parsons, MD, became an early believer in Coronary Artery Calcium Scans. The test was not covered my Medicare. However, he advocated for my taking the test even though I had had no coronary symptoms and was an avid bicycle rider. I scored high on the test! This eventually led to my getting two stents - one at a 90% blockage and one at a 75% blockage. I know his advocacy for this test led to others getting stents, etc. Thanks Jim!!!
