The consistency in providing outstanding care to her patients

Again, as we celebrate the appreciation of our doctors, I will take this opportunity to recognize Dr. Ava Kaufman for her superb delivery of patient care. Her philosophy of care is really holistic as her focus is not only on the physical but also on the psychological and social aspects of the person. She is very attentive and a good listener who emphasizes a partnership between herself and her patient, so important in the delivery of care. She is highly respectful, and readily available for any unforeseen situations that may come up in between yearly visits. More recently, as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, she contacted her patients to present a plan of action so that I could reach her if I felt there was a problem. Her soothing voice and presence on the phone was reassuring and comforting to know she was there if needed. Finally, as I have mentioned before on this site, Dr. Kaufman is supported by an outstanding staff, which she selected, who are truly ambassadors for her model of medical care delivery, hence a testimony of her qualities as a physician.
