Christmas Eve Many Years Ago

After establishing the doctor/patient relationship many years ago with only one appointment, I felt reticent to contact Dr Walend after hours on Christmas eve shortly thereafter. She was the consummate professional and handled my breathing emergency. I was not sure of the reception that I would receive when it was time for an office visit sometime later since I was still embarrassed by my Christmas interruption. I need not have worried, the woman is understanding, thorough, knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. While not happy about being sick, I look forward to our interaction since it cheers me and helps me feel better.
