Characteristics in a physician I most value

I believe Dr Gil truly understands the importance of good medical management, that is, addressing details to lead to a proper diagnosis and providing best and least toxic/risky treatment. This includes attention to detail and up-to-date knowledge about recommendations and guidelines. As important, Dr. Gil understands the value and need for healing. Sometimes these are not the same and require careful listening to the patient to help them decide what additional (often non-medicinal or pharmacological) treatments might be needed to improve symptoms, quality of life and function. We are lucky to have him working for us.
