Celebrating Dr. Dragan Djordjevic and what he means to the medical profession and his lucky patients.
Dr. Dragan Djordjevic is by far one of the smartest, kindest and caring doctor that I have ever had. No one compares to him, in any respect. He doesn't make anyone feel belittled by any question or concern that we have. I have observed Dr. Djordjevic over the years with other patients, and he treats every patient the same. It is just who he is, He has a strong moral compass and is fully committed to every patient who has the good fortune of having him as their doctor. The world needs more people (physicians) like him. For me, it is a myriad of things that always impresses me about him. When I go into his office for my yearly physical, I have the distinct pleasure of getting to talk with him about an abundance of issues. We most definitely cover any and all concerns that I have regarding my well being. I remember one conversation in particular, when Dr. Djordjevic first got into MDVIP which I believe was 2007. I had been going to him since 1998-1999. The conversation centered around the reason he was excited and pleased to be a physician with MDVIP was a number of things. One thing in particular was he said by limiting how many patients he had down to a workable number where he could give more time to the patient in person with any questions or concerns , he felt that was a win-win not only for the patients, but him as well. By that I mean, he and I discussed the fact that when a doctor is overbooked throughout the day, the patient ends up waiting perhaps 15-30 minutes while the doctor is with another patient, running behind and when the patient finally gets to sit down with the doctor. its more time waiting in the waiting room then the actual time with the doctor. He liked and so do I the fact that even though the number of patients are somewhat limited now due to time and the fact that if you want specialized service, you are going to pay for it such as MDVIP or any other concierge service. I remember he remarked that he had more time to read more medical news and brush up not only what he learned in medical school but all new medical issues which are constantly evolving. Dr. Djordjevic's bedside manner and his knowledge puts me at such ease that I cannot fully express how much I respect him and appreciate him. He is very empathetic to the human race, which is refreshing. I also want to mention the fact that other doctors at Rush Hospital and nurses have all heard about him and how intelligent, kind and humble he is. Rush is a very large hospital but they all have heard of him and never have I ever heard anything negative about him. I could on and on, but I am positive that you will receive similar testimonials for Dr. Djordjevic almost identical to what I have said. By the way, my husband is also a patient of Dr. D and he would attest to everything that I have written. We Love him.
