Caring and responsive

These 2 words pretty much sum up Dr Z’s approach and attitude. He provides the necessary time to understand the problem and provides the best available approach to address it. He genuinely cares about the health and well-being of his patients. The example that best stands out in my mind had to do with my son, who technically is not even his patient. My son had suffered a severe concussion in an auto accident and was recovering with my wife and I at our home. Although he was banged up, his double vision was the most concerning result of the accident. When he was released from the ER it was expected that his double vision would improve over the next 2 weeks. As the days went by there was no improvement, so I called Dr Z to see if he could provide any additional insight. Dr Z saw him the next day and felt it would be best for him to see an ophthalmologist. Unfortunately it was midday on a Friday and most offices were already closed. Dr Z personally called 5 to 6 providers and finally found one who could see my son that afternoon. My wife and I will be forever grateful that he invested so much time and effort to ensure my son would have access to the best care possible to address a very serious condition.
