CARE ACROSS MILES

While traveling in Central Europe, I caught a case of gastroenteritis. After my collapse on our departing airplane, I was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Vienna. Following a long, miserable wait, I was seen by a doctor who did his best to communicate in English that I was to be immediately dismissed to care for myself. Fortunately, my husband was able to quickly book a hotel for our stay to wait out my illness. During the night (3:00 a.m. GMT), I telephoned my MDVIP doctor, Kimberly Davis-Seagle, who took my call across many miles and long after her office hours had ended. She advised my husband just what to ask for at the Austrian pharmacy to ease my symptoms. To know that she is there to be called upon at such a time puts my mind at ease.
