A blessing in my life
I joined MDVIP about a year ago. The search for primary care physician is always a guessing game when you move to a new community. In my search for a primary care physician where we now live, I did not want to continue the experiences I had incurred in prior communities with prior primary care physicians. The physicians themselves were generally very good but trying to make an appointment was a hassle, the system used by the physicians had the unfortunate impact of my feeling unimportant and any needs outside the normal checkups were a hassle and generally being passed around from one customer rep to another, and any doctor - patient relationship was generally trumped by the impersonal system.
Since joining MDVIP and becoming one of Dr Ashley Toole's patients, all the above have quickly vanished. She takes the time to prepare for each visit; she researches where necessary for a particular need; she makes referrals based on her networking and the skill craft and medical focus of the referred physician; she is always available whether during the week or in the evenings or on the weekends; she takes the time to get to know you and your past history and makes you feel you are part of a 'family' that cares about you as a person; and she follows-up. Recently, I experienced all of these attributes when experiencing a sudden medical emergency. While in the hospital, she called me every day to check up on me while concurrently staying in touch with the specialist to know and understand their diagnoses and test results. She took the time afterwards to explain to me the various impacts and courses of action to get back to a normal state of health.
She is always there. And that brings a comfort and a confidence as a patient. She is a blessing in my life.
