Appreciate Availability of My MDIP Doctor

My husband and I signed up with Blue Ocean Health Care in Port Charlotte, FL, when we moved here in summer of 2020. We have never been part of concierge medical system prior to this and we are so pleased with our doctors and with MDVIP in general. In July of 2022, I contacted covid while in Gibraltar. I was alone at the time and fortunately staying in a hotel that had a restaurant on site. It was a little scarey as I felt my temperature rise and my congestion increase. I was able to contact my primary care doctor at Blue Ocean, Dr. Stephanie Shell, by a cell phone text message and very shortly received a call from her asking about my symptoms and giving me reassurance. She offered that I could call her at any time and I think I reached out to her two more times when I got concerned about how my body was reacting to the virus. My husband was on his own this past October-Novemer 2023 in the Canary Islands and he came down with covid. Dr. Steven Shell and he emailed back and forth numerous times and included me in their correspondence. Both of the Drs. Shell are warm and caring individuals and we are so happy that they are our doctors. We also appreciate how they interact and keep in close contact, sharing medical information about us back and forth with the specialists we see here in our area. It is reassuring as we age to have doctors we can turn to who know us. We love the MDVIP model!
