Antartica, Here I come!
Dr. Stephen Williams has been my doctor for about 20 years. He has seen me through the ups and downs of life. He is attentive and kind and very, very smart. Here are a few moments that come to mind in our Doctor/patient relationship In 2008, after being single for over 40 years, I remarried and ended my position as vice president of Human Resources. I went in for my three month check up and he didn’t just accept my statement I was fine. He said to me that even though these changes were good, they were still stressful. I felt cared about by him.
In November, 2021, I decided to visit the last of our seven continents-Antarctica. Because of the nature of the trip, I had to have a doctor’s release. Dr. Williams was there for me all the way. He reviewed everything and made recommendations for seasickness patches to be placed behind my ears among other things. Let me tell you, those patches came in very handy when we crossed the Drake Passage, some of the roughest water in the world! I always feel listened to by him and trust his guidance and counsel. He is one in a million and I appreciate his tender care!
