A week before Thanskgiving I came back from a trip to Europe. My wife and I were the only one on that small tour group that didn't get sick...however a bug must have been festering. I took my wife shopping at our Ala Moana Shopping Center the day before Thanskgiving. Walking the mall I felt like I couldn't breathe and walk very far. I found a place to sit and rest while she went shopping. Driving home, I still had a hard time breathing so i called my MDVIP doctor Gerald Watanabe on his cell phone. He said I didn't sound so good so he advised me to turn around my car and go straight to Straub Emergency. Which I did. Since he called the emergency room they were ready for me and they had all my medical info. I didn't have to wait just change into those open air gowns lie down and I was given oxygen. I stayed in the hospital for 6 days as they said I have a bad case of pneumonia and I should be glad I didn't wait another day to come in. Dr. Watanabe also called me to check up on me several times. I'm still here and almost fully recovered from my ordeal...Never ever get pneumonia! In the hospital they take blood draws every three hours...how can you get well without sleeping. i was lucky that the doctor there finally stopped all those blood draws from 10pm-5am... finally got to sleep...Aloha!
