Almost like Family
I grew up in Chicago and all of my uncles were physicians. If I got sick, my mom would call my uncle and he would stop by after work or give her instructions on how to care for me. Later, one of each of their children became a physician; so the tradition continued and aside from the dentist, I never had a typical patient/ Dr. relationship. My parents moved to Tucson about 45 years ago and they established relationships with local practices according to their needs. After my Dad passed, I became involved with my Mother's healthcare. I would sometimes call (from Chicago) to talk with her physician and noticed that it could take several days to get a call back. I realized that I really needed a practice that could be more responsive. I asked around among Tucsonians and found that patients of Drs. Finkelstein and Griffin were very satisfied. After the first appointment with Dr. Griffin, I knew I had found someone that would care for her as though we were family. In time, my husband retired and we also bought a home in Tucson. My mom has passed away but I am a patient of Dr. Griffin and I am grateful for the kind, responsive care he gave to my mother and the wonderful, caring physician that he is for me. It's almost like I'm being treated by a family member!
