Aside from many examples of Dr Michael Yoesel's and his staff's responsiveness through the year to my occasional visits and phone queries, there is another quality of sheer patience. I know there are times when my insistence on using my personal retinue of vitamins, supplements -- or even a few ounces of dark red wine a day, for blood pressure -- have seemed to him doubtful. Yet, as long as I seem to have lucked out with fairly good immunity through all the recent health alarms, I am guessing that he has been willing to let me experiment with nonmedical remedies, as long as I don't go completely off the rails.
