In 2001, I went for my yearly complete exam with Dr. Weiss. He had demonded that I have an FSC because of my previous mastectomy. I reluctantly agreed and after a few moments into the exam, he said: Darling, I'm sorry to tell you that I see what appears to be a large malignancy in your colon. He then contacted my daughter to come to his office so he could give her the news. We immediately scheduled a complete colonoscopy and two days later, surgery for a colon resection. Now, ten years later, I am a cancer survivor from Stage IV colon cancer. I know this is because Dr. Weiss insisted that I have that preliminary test which discovered the cancer. Under his care, although, I am a hypertensive, overweight diabetic, 80 year old, all these conditions are under control and I know this is all because of my wonderful doctor, who is also my friend.
