My philosophy is to approach each patient as a unique individual with his or her own set of needs medically and emotionally. It is vitally important to know my patients on a personal level, spend time listening to them and partner with them to achieve their health and wellness goals. Despite all the complex technology and testing available to help with diagnosis and treatment, the foundation of care is based in a detailed history obtained from the patient and information from examining the patient. Nothing replaces interacting with a patient face to face.
It is important for my patients to understand their conditions and have their questions answered in a timely and thorough manner. I encourage all of my patients to take a proactive approach to their healthcare. Using a combination of history taking, physical exam, diagnostic workups and open communication, I strive to meet their medical needs. My patients have my cell phone number and I am always available to answer questions. I make house calls as necessary and make social rounds on my patients in the hospital. Practicing in the MDVIP model affords me the necessary time to act as an advocate for each one of my patients.
As an internist with 20+ years’ experience, I have the insight and knowledge necessary to help my patients navigate an increasingly complex medical system. I frequently call specialists to update them on a patient’s condition. I provide primary care, internal medicine and am trained in Nephrology – kidney diseases and hypertension. I also treat patients with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cholesterol disorders, thyroid disorders and obesity. Having faced my own struggles with weight in the past, I appreciate and support a healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise and a diet rich in fruits and vegetables. I am passionate about helping others that struggle with weight issues lead healthier lives.
My practice serves Camden, Burlington and Gloucester counties and I have patients from Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, Collingswood, Moorestown, Marlton and Philadelphia.
