Several years ago I was confined to a boot to heel a stress fracture in my foot. I was also told to stay off my foot as much as possible – not easy for someone who is constantly on the move. After a few months in the boot, I started to experience horrendous groin pain, which persisted for several months after my foot healed. First, I saw Dr. Lee who diagnosed the groin pain as a result of the months of sitting, while in the boot. As the pain persisted, I saw my wonderful gynecologist – not wanting to ignore a possibly serious medical issue – and she examined me several times and could not find the cause. She then recommended a urologist, who after examination wanted me to have pelvic manipulation. I chose not to do that procedure. Both the gynecologist and urologist dismissed Dr. Lee’s diagnosis as too simple, and inaccurate. Dr. Lee immediately evaluated the additional information and continued to feel confident that his initial diagnosis – too much time spent sitting – was the accurate diagnosis. After much distress and numerous doctors’ visits Dr. Lee’s brilliant diagnosis was correct. As I continued to become more active, the pain slowly alleviated. During these months of pain, emotional distress and worry, Dr. Lee saw me a few times to assure me that there was not a medical condition that was being ignored. I admire Dr. Lee for his kindness, caring, and exceptional medical knowledge.

MDVIP-affiliated physicians use the Wellness Program Plus to help prevent little things from becoming big things – working to help patients enjoy life and be healthier. Those who value their health will appreciate having a closer doctor-patient relationship. Because MDVIP-affiliated physicians have smaller practices, they have more time for you, so you can receive the individualized care and service you deserve. Physicians offering the Plus program have a different set of testing to choose from than physicians in the traditional program; this testing looks at additional health risks. Plus doctors also use an advanced cognitive testing system to evaluate brain health and offer a medication review program.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Lee. He has helped me in so many ways. In the past he has helped me recover from physical pain & anxiety issues. Very little medication, lots of therapy and communication/monitoring. I went from having
