MDVIP’s annual fee covers the Wellness Program and generally can be made in quarterly, semi-annual and annual payments.
My philosophy of health can be summed up by the following words: "Think well, live well, eat well. Then by God's grace you can feel and be well." My role as your physician is to advise and equip you with the information and tools necessary to improve your health and keep you healthy. I prefer to do this with as little medicine as necessary. I have specific interest and expertise in cardiovascular health, diabetes, hypertension and preventive health. I cherish the relationships I am able to develop with my patients and their families and desire to provide excellent care.
In my 20+ years of private family practice, I've learned that excellence in healthcare begins with a meaningful relationship between a patient and physician that is focused on wellness and prevention. Current traditional healthcare models demand high patient volumes and minimal face-to-face time with physicians. Future healthcare trends promise to only complicate these issues further. Recent advances in research and technology have resulted in new tests with exceptional predictive value for patients but are often financially unobtainable.
After a thoughtful search for an effective solution, I am thrilled to partner with MDVIP, a personalized preventive healthcare model which optimizes the doctor-patient relationship by allowing me to provide 24/7 availability to my patients, unhurried same or next day appointments and a robust Annual Wellness Program which provides advanced technologies and labs not covered by insurance. By focusing only on a few hundred patients who value this level of care, I can customize a personal, comprehensive care plan for each patient which includes nutritional and exercise plans. I look forward to developing even more meaningful relationships with my patients and sharing the satisfaction of optimal healthcare!

See Dr. Schindel when you go to the office — not someone else like a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
If you need urgent care while traveling, your physician can help arrange your care with a local hospital, pharmacy or doctor.
For patients who need care beyond what is available locally, MDVIP can connect your doctor with specialists at some of the country’s leading medical institutions
Members have better control of chronic conditions like type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol and hypertension.
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
