I have been a patient of Dr. Lee Pennington for many years, and his participation in MDVIP has allowed him to take the time to put patients at ease with his banter and body language that implies that he has all the time in the world to examine you, address your questions and concerns, and provide thoughtful medical care. I like to ask lots of questions and discuss health issues, diagnoses, and treatments. I've never felt that Dr. Pennington was anything but happy to participate in a discussion with me about any of those things; to explain his reasons for making certain recommendations for healthful living or for determining a diagnosis; and to make decisions about treatment which take my concerns into account.
However, and most importantly this past year, I depended on his availability at all times of the day or night when my husband was seemingly diagnosed with a different condition every month for the last 18 months of his life. These diagnoses and their contingent symptoms needed to be addressed on an immediate as well as on-going basis. Dr. Pennington was available whenever a new medication was prescribed to make sure there would be no adverse interactions with other meds my husband was already taking; he provided recommendations for symptom relief when other doctors weren't available; he frequently provided both doctor and hospital coordination; and he insured that my husband felt seen and heard throughout this difficult time through frequent office visits and phone conversations, during which he provided information, expert opinion, insight, and encouragement.
I am very happy to be a patient of Dr. Pennington!
