I have been a patient of Dr. Joseph E. Allen, II for years now. I can truthfully say I feel so much better now than when under the care of any other doctor prior to Dr. Allen. Better both mentally and physically; and, also, more secure in my health and in my doctor. More to the point, in 2020, I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis, unfortunately. The way I understand it, one of the main concerns of this disease is a mass forming in your pancreas and causing more harm. On top of that, the word mass frightens me. One way to detect this happening is through an elevation in your liver enzymes. In October 2023, my gastro doctor told me to come back in a year for my annual visit. After leaving his office, I thought 'hmm that's a long time not to have my liver enzyme level(s) checked. It was only a few days later, I had a follow up appointment scheduled with Dr. AlIen. I told him about my visit with my gastro doctor, of course, and my concerns in re my liver enzymes. He reminded me, with his office, I have four blood draws a year; and he would be checking the results himself. That day Dr. Allen literally told me, "I have your back". That, my friend, sealed the deal for me! Needless to say, I respect and trust Dr. Allen with my health needs, and as long as I can afford him, he will be my doctor. There you go. Thank you and thank him.

Really never thought I would be calling Dr Allen after hours, but I have, and he was always there to provide medical care. When I need to see him for something that was unexpected, I usually was able to see him the same day. He listens, gives you plenty of his time, and I have never had a doctor who was so attentive in managing my medications. Had a tough time with COVID. Dr Allen got me through that, and I avoided hospitalization.

Meet Joseph E. Allen II, MD

Welcome to my medical practice! My main goal as an internal medicine physician is to create a working, friendly relationship with each of my patients, giving us an opportunity to create a personalized healthcare plan that will enable each patient to become the best version of themselves. I want to help my patients prevent medical problems that are preventable, make an early diagnosis when available, treat the conditions that are unavoidable and help make healthy habits achievable to maintain excellent health.

My MDVIP affiliation opens up doors to the places that I have always wanted to go in the evaluation and treatment of my patients. I am now able to perform a truly comprehensive assessment and devise a detailed health and wellness plan for each person. This type of practice allows more time to treat my patients the way I feel they deserve to be treated. Similar to conveniences often associated with concierge medicine practices, I also offer same- or next-day appointments that start on time. This is the way primary care internal medicine was always supposed to work. Now, it actually does work that way!

Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
