Healthy living requires one to achieve a balance between the demands of our fast-paced, modern lifestyles and our human requirement for proper rest, nutrition and exercise. Most of us fall short in this quest. This can result in a stress-filled life, leading to mental and physical illness. As your primary care physician, my goal is to help you achieve this balance.
With 30 years of experience practicing internal medicine in Oakland County, Michigan (Milford and Farmington Hills), I have learned that good healthcare starts with a strong doctor-patient relationship built upon mutual trust and respect. To achieve this, I collaborate with my patients. I listen to them, their concerns, thoughts and ideas. Then, together we formulate a care plan aimed at improving their health and wellbeing. My affiliation with MDVIP gives me the tools and allows me the time to be successful in this process. The result is a personalized internal medicine practice more focused on disease prevention and wellness. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices.
My areas of special interest include metabolic syndrome, nutrition, diabetes and hypertension. As a member of the clinical faculty at Detroit Medical Center Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, I mentor internal medicine residents. I also serve as the medical director of the home care agency, Hope at Home.
I have always felt that as a primary care doctor, it was my responsibility to make sure my patients receive appropriate care when hospitalized. To ensure this, I maintain staff privileges at Ascension Providence Park Hospital in Novi and Detroit Medical Center Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Commerce. Partnering in wellness and advocating in illness are the cornerstones of my practice.
