Steps toward a healthier life: Local doctor asks baby boomers to be more proactive in their health

As November is time for open enrollment, people often focus on cost when making healthcare choices.

But a new baby boomer health survey, conducted by MDVIP of 1,049 people between ages of 51 and 69, reveals more attention needs to shift to quality of care and prevention.

According to MDVIP’s survey: 

  • While 94 percent of boomers believe preventive care is an important part of staying healthy, three out of four admit they should be doing more to better manage their health.
