Innovative Medical Approach Inspires the University of Michigan

Following MDVIP’s footsteps, the University of Michigan has established its own concierge medical practice in Victors Care, which provides patients with unlimited primary care appointments, shorter waits, “executive” physicals and long talks with doctors. Similar to Victors Care, MDVIP’s network of physicians is retainer-based and is home to nearly 900 doctors across the country. It offers personalized medicine for an average retainer of about $140 per month, with an average practice size of 300 to 600 patients. “They include teachers, small business owners, a whole spectrum of people,” MDVIP spokeswoman Nancy Udell explains.
