Dearth of primary care doctors fuels signature care model

As the health care landscape continues its long and winding change, some doctors in the Triangle – and throughout the nation – are looking to switch up their business models.

In an effort to capture patients who want more attention and are willing to pay extra, doctors are forming new practices to offer a concierge medicine option to patients.

Under this model – the doctors prefer terms like “executive primary care” or “signature care” to the word “concierge” – doctors view patients almost more like members.
