The greatest joy I receive from helping a patient is when they tell me that I’ve made a difference in their life and that they feel better, whether in an emotional or physical capacity. 
I knew I wanted to become a doctor when I was around six years old and my father told me about his father, who was also a doctor. My grandfather was able to survive the Spanish Civil War because of a grateful patient bringing him chicken and eggs. My father always said as a doctor, you will be helping people and at the same time, they just may help you.
I approach each patient encounter with an open mind. I try to listen to them before deciding what I think about a prognosis. I feel fortunate to be in family practice with my husband, who is also a physician, for over 25 years in Hamilton, New Jersey. Similar to concierge medicine practices, my MDVIP-affiliated practice offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments with minimal waiting. 
My specialty areas include women’s health and addiction. I also have relationships with many specialists in the area, and I have more time to speak with them on my patients’ behalf as needed. 
The goal in our practice is to provide personalized care for our patients. I aim to create a partnership with patients and families as they pursue their health goals and understand better the dynamics of their health and the healthcare system. 
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading and spending time with my family and friends. I speak Spanish fluently.
