About David Leichtling, MD
When I was a teenager, my mother's personal physician inspired me to become a family doctor. Into his 80s, he continued to give her unhurried, same-day appointments and personalized care. I am thrilled about my MDVIP affiliation and reduced practice size because I can offer a similar kind of personalized experience from which I believe my mother benefited.
Along with tools and resources as part of my affiliation with MDVIP, I have more time to discuss your health concerns and help you as you work toward improving your health and health span (a concept referring to the number of healthier, disease-free years of life you could experience). I hope that as we move forward, you can feel younger and healthier as you pursue improved energy and well-being.
The advanced diagnostics in the annual MDVIP Wellness Program include unique inflammation testing developed with Cleveland HeartLab, which can provide additional insight into cardiovascular risk markers beyond cholesterol testing alone. The Program also includes screenings for diabetes, bone health, fitness, sleep, emotional well-being and more. These assessments have been shown to help identify certain risk factors.
The Wellness Program services include a lengthy yearly meeting where you and I will review your test results and form a personalized holistic plan for you to work toward, optimizing nutrition, exercise and, when needed, medications, supplements or nutraceuticals. My goal is to help you try to prevent or better control conditions such as diabetes, chronic kidney disease, obesity and fatty liver disease while strengthening muscles and mobility. I want to help you chart your healthier and happier path to wellness.
I have been practicing medicine for more than 35 years, starting at Patuxent Medical Group in Columbia, Maryland, and continuing in 2004 as it became my current Columbia Medical Practice. My MDVIP-affiliated practice is in the same location, and I remain affiliated with Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
I welcome you to join me in a more personalized primary care practice. Similar to concierge medicine practices, I offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments. Additionally, a variety of resources are offered year-round through the MDVIP member portal. With these tools, plus the longer conversations we can have during office visits, I hope to earn your confidence in my care for many years to come.

Approximately 3 days later, David had a brain bleed. David had already decided that Dr Leichtling looked to be his choice of a new doctor.

2. My medications are very carefully chosen and they are helping me a lot
3.Dr. Leichtling always care about the side effects of the medication. He always explains how much trouble the new drags may bring to other organs .
Dr. Leichtling starts with a small dosage of the drag, to see the aftermath.
4.!’Dr. Leichtling always is ready for the next appointment. He already knows the test results of the tests he ordered and always asks about the effects of the new medication and the cituation in using the old one

Both of the wore cold and rude.

Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
